Notes | The Chapel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, donated by the Claretian Fathers, on the Crypt level on the west side of Memorial Hall. Dominating the chapel is a medallion of sculptured wood, gold-leafed, showing the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The altar is permanently arranged for Mass facing the people. A mosaic panel on the south wall shows Pope Pius XII consecrating the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The chapel is notable for the warmth and richness and harmony of its marbles. Adjoining is a Chapel of St. Anthony Mary Claret, Founder of the Claretians. |
