NotesThe Greeneville Presbyterian Church, organized in 1780, is one of the oldest churches in Tennessee. Tradition says the first building was constructed of logs, the second was a frame structure, and the present building was erected about 1847. It was afterwards enlarged and a modern Sunday School Building added.
