Notes | San Miguel, lust a couple hundred feet west of the oldest house in Santa Fe, was built by the Spaniards as a chapel for their Tiascalan Indian servants from Mexico. The record of the date was no doubt burned during the Pueblo rebellion, 1680, when the chapel sustained considerable damage. Extensive repairs were made in 1712, 1830, and again in 1888 when the stone buttresses were added to the front. |
