| Notes | Antietam BattlefieldThe original church stood in the midst of some of the fiercest fighting and changed hands several times. Old photographs show its shell-pocked walls. It was destroyed by a storm in 1921, but a local citizen salvaged and stored much of the original material, which was used in this restored structure built in 1962. |
