Notes | Erected in 1810 on the site of the granary where the sails of the United States Frigate "Constitution" were made. The name "Brimstone Corner" was given to this section because of the gunpowder that was stored in the basement of the Church in 1812. Prior and during the Civil War, the views and principals of the Abolitionists were preached here. |
