Notes | The Congregation of which Christ Church is the successor, was organized by Charles Wesley in March, 1736, who was the founder of the little band known as the "Holy Club", which grew into the great Methodist Episcopal Church today and his first charge was Frederica. It was under the moss covered live oaks in this little Church Yard that John and Charles Wesley preached and sang to the Indians. |
