| Notes | Founded September 8, 1771. This old outside stairway to the choir has been in use since 1771. The buildings are in a good state of preservation. San Gabriel was the fourth of twenty one missions established along "El Camino Real" (The Royal Road) which extened from Guatemala to San Francisco. |
