NotesSerbian Orthodox Church, St. Sava's, Jackson, Calif. This Church was the First Serbian Church built in North America, in 1893, an example of Old World Architecture. It is the Mother Church of that Faith on this continent. The bells in the tower were sent to Jackson by the Serbian Monks of Alaska. Each year in August, a Serbian celebration is held.
